About The Position

Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut is seeking determined individuals with a great passion for helping others. As a Human Services Associate, you would be assisting program participants with disabilities at their place of employment by helping them maintain their jobs and become more independent in the workplace.

Requirements

Experience in the human services or related field strongly desired.
A high school diploma preferred.
Satisfactory driving record, current driver's license, and daily access to a reliable, registered, and insured vehicle for frequent in-state driving.
First Aid and CPR are required (Goodwill can provide training after hire).
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

Provide vocational instruction for teaching participants work tasks and appropriate social skills, whether on-site or during job skills training groups.
Interface with designated team members to maintain schedules to support participants.
Ensure participant safety by familiarizing participants with safety rules and regulations at their work or volunteer sites.
Complete applicable written documentation and data collection within the Therap case management system, including reporting on participant goals outlined in the ISP Program Data.
Encourage participants to maximize production and enhance relationships with supervisors and co-workers.
Report individual participant progress to the Goodwill DDS Case Manager during weekly team meetings.
Maintain regular communication with employers to review productivity and quality of work.
Complete weekly timecards with input from participants who engage in temporary work experiences.
