About The Position

The Human Resources Specialist supports JG's human resources functions by assisting in recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, training, and employee engagement initiatives. This role serves as a key resource for employees and partners, helping to ensure HR processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of human resources experience preferred.
  • Experience in recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, or HR compliance preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or similar HR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Work with partners to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
  • Participate in college recruiting, career fairs, and employee referral programs.
  • Maintain applicant tracking system data and recruitment metrics.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation programs.
  • Prepare employment documentation and maintain personnel records.
  • Serve as a point of contact for new employees during their onboarding period.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace concerns.
  • Assist managers in addressing employee performance and attendance matters.
  • Support conflict resolution and promote a positive work environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding employee information and sensitive matters.
  • Maintain personnel files and HRIS records.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Prepare employment verifications, reports, and HR metrics.
  • Coordinate employee training programs and professional development opportunities.
  • Track training attendance and maintain training records.
  • Assist in developing educational materials and presentations.
  • Coordinate employee recognition and engagement programs.
  • Assist with company events, wellness initiatives, and culture-building activities.
  • Support internal communications and employer branding efforts.
