This is a hands-on, recruiting-focused Human Resources role for someone who enjoys building relationships, connecting people with opportunities, and helping create a strong candidate and employee experience. The Human Resources Specialist will lead the day-to-day execution of GSWW’s seasonal camp recruitment, support year-round hiring across the organization, and partner directly with hiring managers throughout the recruitment and selection process. The position also contributes to onboarding, training, employee engagement, and other employee experience initiatives. The Human Resources Specialist also builds and maintains relationships with community organizations, educational institutions, workforce development partners, and other external stakeholders to expand awareness of employment opportunities at GSWW; coordinates onboarding activities; develops and facilitates employee training programs; supports employee engagement and recognition initiatives; and contributes to Human Resources projects that foster a positive, inclusive, and values-driven workplace culture. Through strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, and customer service skills, this position helps create positive experiences for applicants and employees throughout the employee lifecycle. This is a regular, full-time (40 hours per week), non-exempt role that requires residency in our Council region of Western Washington (which stretches from Whatcom County south to Cowlitz County, and from the coast east to the western slopes of the Cascades!). Work may be conducted remotely, but successful candidates must be willing and able to travel throughout the Council region and work from GSWW offices, community locations, and other worksites as needed or requested. While the pay range is $31.85 to $35.83 per hour, this position will start at $31.85 per hour for purposes of internal pay equity.
