About The Position

Destiny Springs Healthcare is seeking an organized, people-focused Human Resources Specialist to support employees and leadership. This role is crucial for recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, HR operations, and providing limited executive administrative support to the CEO. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, maintain confidentiality, and help drive people-focused processes. The Human Resources Specialist will assist the Director of Human Resources with various functions including recruitment, onboarding, recordkeeping, training, audits, coordination of benefits, employee engagement support, and charting. Additionally, this position offers limited administrative support to the CEO, encompassing calendar coordination, meeting minutes, scheduling assistance, file organization, meeting agenda support, and aiding employee engagement initiatives like the Social Squad/Employee Engagement Committee. Key responsibilities include managing employee data, coordinating benefits and incentives, overseeing hiring processes, conducting new hire onboarding, and supporting HR department initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Resource Management or Business.
  • Three years of general human resources experience, preferably in a hospital environment.
  • Focus on recruitment, onboarding, and recordkeeping.
  • Experience working with confidential information required.
  • Proficiency in a Microsoft Windows environment and Microsoft Office Suite, including formatting and producing word processing documents, spreadsheets, and reports.
  • Ability to use video conferencing tools, as needed.
  • Level One Fingerprint Clearance card in the State of Arizona.
  • Customer-service driven.
  • Demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Professional and personable demeanor.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Good spelling and grammar skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support to Human Resources Director, including data entry, copying, filing, and mailings.
  • Provides limited administrative support to the CEO, including taking meeting minutes, assisting with calendar coordination, organizing files, assisting with appointments and scheduling, preparing meeting agendas, supporting leadership meeting coordination, assisting with the Social Squad/Employee Engagement Committee, and performing other assigned duties.
  • Prepares correspondence for the human resources area, including drafting and formatting letters, memos, forms, policies and procedures, reports, and spreadsheets.
  • Coordinates the recruitment and onboarding processes of new hires and temporary personnel, including managing job postings, supporting hiring managers, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and maintaining files.
  • Accurately maintains personnel data in the HRIS database.
  • Maintains a variety of correspondence, notices, files, records, and other related information.
  • Manages processes for separation of employment, both voluntary and involuntary.
  • Administers procedures, documents, and forms to ensure consistent communication and administration of human resources.
  • Produces various human resources reports from the HRIS system.
  • Initiates and responds to inquiries, often requiring research and providing recommendations or answers.
  • Provides information to employees regarding policies, programs, career development, regulations, issues, options, and related matters.
  • Resolves routine issues and employee concerns, such as new hire offers, training program availability or scheduling, and onboarding.
  • Responds to inquiries, such as employment verifications.
  • May present training and/or information programs to groups of employees.
  • Assists in coordinating employee programs, including benefits, leaves, training, and employment.
  • Conforms with and abides by all Joint Commission, federal, and state regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
  • Works independently and within a team on special, nonrecurring, and ongoing projects.
  • Participates in committees and special projects and may assist members of leadership, as assigned.
