About The Position

Our Human Resources Division is seeking a professional, customer service oriented, quality-minded individual to join the HR Operations team! You will play a key role in collecting and processing employee documents for I-9 requirements, manage our SEL Cares program, support government regulatory processes, assist in upkeeping of personnel files and other HR files, and provide prompt and high-quality customer service to employees at SEL. Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum two years related experience or equivalent
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in handling sensitive information and data
  • Demonstrated ability to handle/prioritize tasks in multiple disciplines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and filing skills
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Post-offer background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)

Nice To Haves

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Human Resource Management
  • Knowledge of HR laws and practices
  • Professional certification in related field
  • Familiarity with an HRIS system and processes

Responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of HR Operations functions, including I-9 compliance, government reporting, SEL Cares, personnel files, unemployment claims, personal information changes, and project management.
  • Provide input to the development and be able to support implementation of HR guidance, policies or procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage employee records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain accurate records, conduct audits, and manage reporting requests.
  • Respond to applicant, candidate, employee, and/or community inquiries, concerns and needs.
  • Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
