About The Position

This is an exciting internship opportunity at Xcel Energy within the HR Shared Services areas. The role is designed for an entry-level coordinator/intern to perform tasks that support Human Resources operations. The intern will gain exposure to multiple HR areas, including Leave Administration, the HR Service Center, HR Operations, and a light introduction to Payroll. Through practical operations experience and mentoring, a successful candidate will develop significant professional confidence and people skills. Requirements

  • Current student, Freshman status or higher
  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Management or similar
  • Interest in HR, HR Courses
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable with multiple systems

Responsibilities

  • Managing incoming paper and electronic documents
  • Completing legal and employee file requests, general filing, and benefit entry
  • Coordinating resource updates in internal HR System
  • Managing outgoing communications
  • General data entry
