About The Position

The Human Resources Representative will provide management with assistance in performance and leadership coaching, investigative counsel, and site organizational structure. This position supports the administration of Company policies and programs, the collective bargaining agreement, disciplinary actions, grievance procedures, interviewing, employee orientation, training, employee records, and assists all employees with HR-related issues. There is extensive interaction with the site Human Resource Manager to plan and implement programs, along with strong cooperation and support with other site Human Resource team members and the Central Human Resource team. The role requires a safety focus and a solid understanding of the company's safety culture. The representative will work cooperatively with the HR Manager and site operational leaders to carry out and drive the HR strategy. An ability and willingness to tour underground, on the surface, and all working areas of the mine is necessary. The role involves working closely with General Foreman, Supervisors, and other leadership to mentor, guide, assist, and develop leadership aligned with the company culture. Strong relationships with the union committee are essential for providing guidance and direction in dealing with employee issues, investigations, grievances, and other labor-related issues. The representative will also work cooperatively with fellow HR team members to develop and present organizational development programs, including leadership development and compliance training, and assist with all facets of Montana Operations HR as needed. Developing strong working relationships within the HR and operations leadership groups and functional knowledge of collecting bargaining agreements and general business sense are key.
