By serving as a trusted, sought-after consultant, you will position HR as an essential resource. You will lead daily operations to ensure our HR processes run seamlessly-including payroll processing, benefits and leave administration, and recruitment. In this role, you will balance compliance with all federal, state, and local laws with a highly supportive, employee-first approach.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of HR generalist or related experience
  • 2-year college degree or equivalent; BA preferred
  • Knowledge of employment laws
  • Knowledge of HR best practices
  • Strong research, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience processing payroll
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with an HRIS
  • Experience with benefits administration

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Paylocity
  • General knowledge of accounting principles and GL structure

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a vital resource by providing guidance on company policies, procedures, programs, benefits, and payroll questions.
  • Manages comprehensive leave of absence programs (FMLA, ADA, STD/LTD) to ensure full compliance and proper documentation.
  • Drives the talent acquisition process by managing job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, job offers, new hire orientation, and overall onboarding experiences.
  • Maintains accurate employee records within the HRIS.
  • Analyzes metrics to update leadership on trends.
  • Manages monthly benefit invoice audits, funding, and vendor resolutions.
  • Processes bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll -including timecard reviews, journal entries, and the administration of garnishments and Friend of the Court (FOC) orders.
  • Leads benefits administration for open enrollments and employee education.
  • Supports training coordination.
  • Contributes to process-improvement initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned with a high level of punctuality and regular attendance.
