About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting full-cycle recruiting, managing the candidate experience, coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes, maintaining employee records, and serving as a point of contact for employee inquiries. The specialist will also assist with benefits and payroll administration, HR audits, policy development, and process improvements. This position requires a Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 years of HR experience, with a preference for experience in Life Sciences, healthcare, or startups. Proficiency in HR compliance, ATS, and HRIS platforms (Rippling preferred) is essential, along with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required
  • A minimum of 2 years of HR experience with recruiting experience
  • Basic knowledge of HR compliance, employment laws, and HR best practices
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism

Responsibilities

  • Support full-cycle recruiting efforts including job postings, candidate sourcing, resume screening, interviewing, offer administration, and pre-employment processes
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, and ensure timely fulfillment of open positions
  • Manage the candidate experience throughout the hiring process, ensuring consistent communication and a positive experience for all applicants
  • Coordinate background checks, reference checks, and offer letters
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including scheduling, HR documentation, system access, equipment shipment, and new hire communications
  • Support offboarding processes, including employee documentation, equipment recovery, system access coordination, and personnel file maintenance
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity across HR systems, personnel files, and reporting platforms
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, leave programs, and employment-related processes
  • Assist with benefits administration, employee status changes, leave administration, and HRIS maintenance, including updates and reporting within systems such as Rippling
  • Support payroll administration by coordinating employee data changes, auditing records, and partnering with accounting for processing
  • Support HR audits, reporting, and compliance initiatives, ensuring accurate and timely completion of required activities
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and communication of HR policies, procedures, forms, and employee resources
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting, onboarding, HR systems, and operational processes, and support the implementation of process improvements
  • Coordinate employee equipment logistics, including onboarding shipments, returns, and inventory tracking
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Quality Assurance, IT, and other departments on cross-functional projects, audits, and operational initiatives
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to ensure efficient execution of HR programs and processes across the organization
