About The Position

Valley View Retirement Community is seeking a dynamic Human Resources leader passionate about building strong teams, shaping workplace culture, and creating an exceptional employee experience. The mission is to enrich the lives of older adults with compassion, dignity, and excellence. This role involves leading strategic recruitment, partnering with leaders on staffing, overseeing hiring and onboarding, administering employee benefits, fostering a positive culture through employee relations and engagement, ensuring legal compliance, analyzing data to improve retention, collaborating across departments, and participating in leadership responsibilities including weekend/holiday Administrative Representative rotation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Proven success developing and leading recruitment and onboarding programs
  • Commitment to supporting and modeling organizational mission and values
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HRIS, payroll, and benefits systems
  • Background in healthcare, senior living, or similar environments
  • Experience administering employee benefits programs
  • Demonstrated ability to enhance employee engagement and workplace culture

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute a strategic recruitment program to attract and hire high-quality, mission-aligned talent
  • Partner with leaders to forecast staffing needs and drive effective hiring strategies
  • Oversee a compliant, consistent hiring and onboarding process; train managers on best practices
  • Support and administer employee benefits programs; assist with open enrollment and team member inquiries
  • Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture through employee relations, coaching, and engagement efforts
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, FMLA, unemployment claims, and workplace safety processes
  • Analyze turnover and engagement data to improve retention and workforce satisfaction
  • Collaborate across departments and serve on key committees to support organizational goals
  • Participate in leadership responsibilities, including weekend/holiday Administrative Representative rotation
