About The Position
Richland County First Steps is seeking an experienced, people-centered Human Resources Manager to join its leadership team. This role is an opportunity for a human resources professional passionate about building a positive workplace culture, supporting employee growth, and helping the organization fulfill its mission to improve outcomes for children and families. The Human Resources Manager will lead all HR functions, including recruitment and onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, workforce development, and HR systems management. This position will foster a high-performing, collaborative work environment while ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
Requirements
- 3 years Human Resources experience with increasing levels of responsibility
- Knowledge of employment law, compliance, benefits, and payroll administration
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills
- Experience with HRIS and data management systems
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- SHRM or HRCI certification
