About The Position

At Danone, manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Human Resources Manager based in our manufacturing plant in Dubois, Pennsylvania! The Human Resources Manager is a key HR leader for the manufacturing site and an important member of the Plant Leadership team. This role serves as a strategic partner to plant leadership while acting as a visible, trusted point of contact for associates across the site. The HR Manager leads all aspects of Human Resources at the plant, including labor and employee relations, talent strategy, workforce planning, culture and engagement, compliance, and organizational capability building. This leader plays a critical role in enabling Danone’s manufacturing transformation by supporting the adoption of disciplined ways of working and fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. This DuBois, PA–based role serves as the primary HR leader for the DuBois, PA manufacturing site. The role leads a team of one HR Coordinator. Our DuBois plant is a union facility comprised of approximately 125 team members and three production lines manufacturing plant-based products under the Silk and So Delicious brands.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (required).
A minimum of 5+ years of progressive HR experience required.
At least 3 years union/labor relations experience within a manufacturing / industrial / supply chain environment, required.
Computer proficiency in MS Office products (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), required.
Strong working knowledge of HR fundamentals, compliance, and employment law, policies and processes.
Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
Demonstrated ability building and leveraging strong relationships while influencing, persuading, and inspiring diverse teams, required.
Possess professional agility, the ability to deal with ambiguity, and adaptability in a fast-changing business environment, required.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lead with respect, confidence, and managerial courage in challenging environments, required.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to partner with plant leadership to develop and execute a long-term strategic plan and vision for the plant.
Demonstrated ability to build quantifiable metrics, while analyzing and interpreting data.
Demonstrated expertise in labor and employee relations, including investigations, grievances, and contract administration (as applicable).
Demonstrated ability to role model Danone’s values and behaviors.
Ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment as business needs dictate.

Nice To Haves

A master’s degree and/or SPHR/SHRM-SCP certifications are preferred.
Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is a plus.

Responsibilities

Serve as a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, partnering with leaders to develop and execute a long-term people strategy aligned to business priorities
Champion Danone’s culture, values, and behaviors, creating an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance work environment.
Lead site wide engagement and listening efforts, translating feedback into clear actions that improve employee experience and business results.
Lead employee and labor relations matters, including investigations, grievances, and conflict resolution, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes
Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with union representatives (where applicable) and plant stakeholders.
Coach leaders to strengthen frontline leadership capability and reduce risk through effective people management.
Own workforce planning, staffing strategy, succession planning, and leadership development for the plant.
Lead, coach, and develop HR team, setting clear expectations and building capability across all HR disciplines.
Partner with leaders to build organizational capability and support change initiatives.
Support the people and change management aspects of Danone’s manufacturing operating system and continuous improvement initiatives.
Enable disciplined routines, standard work, and leadership behaviors that support sustainable adoption of new ways of working.
Use people data and metrics to identify trends, measure progress, and drive targeted improvement actions.
Ensure compliance with labor and employment law, company policies, and HR processes.
Maintain accurate HR data and support reporting/analytics.
Partner with centers of excellence (COEs).
Ensure adherence to all plant standards and procedures (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO, HOPE, Danone Behaviors, Daily Direction Setting, and Driving OE).
As a fundamental leader within the organization, own the implementation and deployment of the Integrated Work Systems (IWS) framework or equivalent continuous improvement systems across all plant types. This includes driving core pillars such as Leadership Foundation, Daily Direction Setting, Driving Operational Excellence, Autonomous and Planned Maintenance, Focused Improvement, Education and Training, Environmental Health and Safety, Quality, and Supply Network.
Build a culture of ownership of space, performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature), and continuous improvement regardless of system maturity.
