About The Position

The Human Resources Leadership Development Program (HRLDP) is a three-year rotational program designed to cultivate participants' human resources and self-leadership skills. Each rotation involves hands-on experience, a comprehensive HR curriculum, and a formal mentoring program to prepare individuals for a dynamic career. Participants will explore various HR functions, learn from different leaders, and are expected to challenge the status quo, drive innovation, embrace change, support diverse perspectives, and celebrate others' successes. This program is specifically for internal employees, 2026 Travelers Summer Interns, and Summer Students applying for 2027 Full-time or Intern opportunities. Requirements

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
  • A minimum of 1 year of Human Resources related experience (which may include one or more internship experiences in the Human Resources field).

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Design competitive and cost-effective total compensation programs, practices and solutions that support management in leading the creation and maintenance of a high-performance culture at Travelers.
  • Develop an understanding of issues, state and federal employment law regulations and corporate HR policies and procedures.
  • Gain exposure to managing all HR activities for an assigned business group.
  • Assist in the development of HR policies and programs by consulting with other HR specialist functions.
  • Consult with business partners to develop and maintain external recruitment sources for exempt and non-exempt positions.
  • Recruit, interview, assess and place applicants to effectively meet company human resources needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Model the way for others and set a personal example of what is expected.
  • Positively challenge processes and identify new and innovative ways to get work done more effectively and efficiently.
  • Take initiative, embrace change, actively listen to and support diverse points of view and celebrate the success of others.
