Human Resources Intern
About The Position
Cohen Veterans Network (CVN) is seeking a motivated HR Intern to support the HR team with administrative and operational tasks. This role involves maintaining records, assisting with process creation and organization, supporting employee communications, and contributing to the improvement of HR procedures. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. CVN is dedicated to improving the quality of life for veterans and their families by strengthening mental health outcomes and complementing existing support systems. Our vision is to ensure that every veteran, active-duty service member, and family member can access high-quality care for fulfilling and productive lives. CVN is a not-for-profit philanthropic organization (a registered 501c3 Private Foundation).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management or studying toward a degree in human resource management or any business-related field.
- Proven experience working in an office environment is a plus
- Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is advantageous.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Detail-oriented
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards
- Willingness to be a part of a small, dynamic, and innovative team while contributing your voice to all aspects of the CVN and its growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist with HR Audits
- Maintain and update HR records and trackers.
- Assist with organizing employee files and documentation.
- Support handbook and policy document management.
- Help standardize file naming and recordkeeping processes.
- Help compile HR reports and background check records.
- Support office organization and administrative projects.
- Other projects, as assigned
