Human Resources Intern (Boise, ID) Part-Time • Non‑Exempt • On‑Site • Monday–Thursday (20–30 hrs/week) Supports all Multiquip locations Multiquip is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Human Resources Intern to support both our HR and Recruiting team. This internship is designed to provide hands‑on experience across the full spectrum of HR functions—including recruiting, employee support, HR administration, job description development, and special projects that support our nationwide operations. Working on‑site in our Boise, ID office, you will collaborate closely with the HR team members while supporting multiple MQ locations. This is an excellent opportunity for a student pursuing a career in Human Resources to gain real-world experience in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required/preferred).
  • Prior HR, office, or administrative experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.
  • Comfortable interacting professionally with employees and candidates.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move around the office.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to see and hear clearly (with or without devices) to perform HR and administrative duties.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing/distribution environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily HR activities for the Boise office, including employee support and administrative tasks.
  • Support onboarding tasks such as new hire preparation, orientation assistance, and HRIS data entry (ADP Workforce Now).
  • Help maintain personnel files, benefits documents, and HR records.
  • Assist with termination and exit interview processes as needed.
  • Partner with Recruiting to audit and update job descriptions and build templates in Greenhouse ATS.
  • Post job openings, screen resumes, and coordinate interviews.
  • Assist in conducting interviews when appropriate.
  • Support background check processing and communication workflows.
  • Participate in HR projects including: Job description standardization Internal process audits HR documentation updates
  • Support leave of absence tracking, forms, and manager communication.
  • Assist during performance management cycles by generating reports and supporting system troubleshooting.
  • Support benefit enrollment prep and data entry during new hire cycles and annual open enrollment.
  • Collaborate with HR team members across multiple MQ locations.
  • Participate in regular check‑ins with the HR Manager and Recruiting team.
  • Gain exposure to federal, state, and internal HR compliance processes.
