About The Position

Maxim Crane Works is seeking Human Resources Intern to join our team for a summer internship in Wilder, KY! This internship offers hands-on experience supporting a dynamic Human Resources team. The selected Intern will gain exposure to core HR operations, employee data management, compliance standards, and cross-functional collaboration within the crane and heavy equipment industry.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend complex instructions, short correspondence and memos and the ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day HR operations and provide administrative assistance to the HR team.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure proper documentation in accordance with company policies.
  • Support performance review procedures by tracking timelines, preparing materials, and maintaining evaluation records.
  • Assist with labor and employee relations documentation while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Participate in HR systems optimization efforts, including process review and documentation.
  • Help develop, update, and organize standard operating procedures (SOPs) for HR processes.
  • Support employee engagement and internal communication initiatives.
  • Assist with compiling HR reports and summaries for internal use.
  • Partner with HR team members on special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
