About The Position

The HR Shared Services team at GlobalFoundries is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented student to support digital and AI-driven HR initiatives. This individual will work cross-functionally with HR Business Partners, HR Centers of Excellence, and Digital/IT partners to enhance HR operations through data, automation, and emerging AI solutions. The role will focus on improving efficiency, insights, and employee experience by leveraging technology and innovative HR practices. Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with a meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. Requirements

  • Education – At least a sophomore at the time of application and currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Organizational Psychology, Communications, Business Administration, Education, Anthropology, Sociology or other related field.
  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
  • Language Fluency – English (Written & Verbal).
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week during the internship.
  • A genuine interest in AI and desire to learn and grow and both an individual and working professional.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, analytical and communication skills
  • Can collaborate effectively in a team environment while also demonstrating the ability to work on projects independently.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR team members and business stakeholders to support digital and AI-enabled HR projects with global business impact (e.g., automation, analytics, or process optimization).
  • Research and evaluate industry best practices, AI tools, and digital HR solutions to support the development of new programs, workflows, or self-service capabilities.
  • Analyze HR data and assist in creating dashboards, reports, or insights that support data-driven decision-making for HR leadership.
  • Assist with testing, documenting, and improving digital HR tools and processes, ensuring usability and scalability across regions.
  • Support change management efforts by gathering feedback from end users and helping communicate enhancements to HR processes or platforms.
  • Collaborate with the intern cohort to engage in professional development, networking, and innovation-focused initiatives, including sharing learnings related to digital HR and AI trends.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
