Human Resources Generalist

About The Position
As our Northern Virginia HR Generalist, you'll support our Winchester, Fredericksburg, and Springfield branches in person. You'll be the HR partner who connects all three branches: finding and onboarding great people, guiding employees through benefits and leave, keeping our commercial drivers DOT-compliant, and helping managers get the important moments right. Regular travel between branches is part of the job, and it's how trust gets built. This role offers HR work where you can see the difference you make, and people who are glad when you walk through the door.
Requirements
- Willingness to work ON SITE at multiple branches every week and drive between them (valid Virginia driver’s license and safe driving record required)
- Bachelor’s degree, or five years of HR experience in lieu of a degree
- At least one year of professional office experience
- Organized, people-focused, and comfortable juggling priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Nice To Haves
- HR experience is a plus, not required
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Be the go-to HR partner on site for employees and managers
- Recruit, hire, and onboard great people for your branches
- Coach managers on performance and resolve employee relations issues
- Guide employees through benefits, leave, and workers’ compensation
- Manage DOT compliance for our commercial drivers
- Keep HR records, safety programs, and reporting on track
