About The Position

This role is responsible for processing payroll, coordinating workers' compensation programs, managing employee records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and HR regulations. The position also involves recruitment, onboarding, and conducting investigations and training.

Requirements

  • Experience processing payroll.
  • Experience with Workers' Compensation programs.
  • Experience tracking vacation and time off requests.
  • Experience providing payroll-related reports to finance.
  • Experience recruiting and hiring hourly non-exempt employees.
  • Experience processing pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
  • Experience conducting new hire orientation and onboarding.
  • Experience maintaining employee personnel files, I-9s, medical, and training files.
  • Experience completing and maintaining HR reports (EEO, OSHA).
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Experience conducting investigations and administering conflict resolution.
  • Experience conducting HR compliance training.
  • Experience ensuring pay changes are approved and processed correctly.
  • Experience overseeing employee activities and engagement.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Plant Operations.
  • Experience with EEOC and Unemployment cases.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll.
  • Coordinate with Human Resource Manager on the administration of Workers' Compensation safety programs, including authorization of injury treatment and monitoring accident investigations.
  • Track vacation and time off requests and reporting.
  • Provide finance payroll related reports.
  • Help ensure other departments' headcount needs are met.
  • Provide guidance and support to Plant Operations and ensure compliance.
  • Recruit and hire hourly non-exempt employees.
  • Process pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding process.
  • Maintain employee personnel files, I-9s, medical, training files, and follow Company retention policies.
  • Complete and maintain HR reports, including EEO and OSHA records and logs timely and efficiently.
  • Administer and ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Conduct investigations and administer conflict resolution, including EEOC and Unemployment cases.
  • Conduct training for all employees on HR Compliance topics.
  • Ensure pay changes are approved and paid timely and correctly.
  • Oversee and ensure employee activities are conducted and support engagement.
  • Walk the Plant floor daily and participate in meetings on the Plant floor.
  • Ensure HRIS are updated correctly and timely.
