About The Position

The Division Human Resources Generalist will partner with the General Manager and Corporate HR to align HR strategies with divisional goals. This role serves as the primary HR contact for all employees within the division, championing company culture and driving engagement, retention, and professional growth initiatives. The Generalist will provide leadership coaching, performance guidance, and policy interpretation to managers and supervisors. Responsibilities include overseeing full-cycle recruiting, supporting workforce planning, managing separations, handling employee relations matters, ensuring legal compliance, administering HR policies, managing leaves of absence, and coordinating with Corporate HR on complex issues. Additionally, the role involves identifying training needs, supporting learning initiatives, and encouraging a culture of continuous development. The Generalist will also assist with compensation and benefits administration and maintain accurate employee data and HR reporting in systems like UKG.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 2 years in a managerial or multi-state capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (UKG preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and build credibility with leadership and employees.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the General Manager and Corporate HR to align HR strategies with divisional goals.
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for all employees within the division.
  • Champion company culture and drive engagement, retention, and professional growth initiatives.
  • Provide leadership coaching, performance guidance, and policy interpretation to managers and supervisors.
  • Oversee full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers and Corporate HR to maintain accurate job descriptions and competitive offers.
  • Support workforce planning and succession strategies to ensure the division is properly staffed.
  • Manage separations and exit interviews to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Manage employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes.
  • Partner with Corporate HR on complex employee issues and compliance reviews.
  • Administer and maintain HR policies, ensuring consistent communication and enforcement.
  • Manage leave of absence, accommodations, and workers’ compensation claims in coordination with Corporate HR.
  • Identify divisional training needs and coordinate programs to enhance leadership and employee skills.
  • Support implementation of company-wide learning initiatives and compliance training.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Support administration of company compensation programs, ensuring fair and equitable pay practices.
  • Communicate and assist employees with benefit questions and enrollment processes.
  • Partner with Corporate HR to maintain consistency in compensation structures and merit processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee data in UKG and other HR systems.
  • Prepare HR reports, turnover analysis, and compliance documentation as required.
  • Ensure timely and confidential handling of all HR records and documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
