About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting all functions of the Human Resources department. The generalist is knowledgeable and responsible for the administration of company policies, procedures, and programs. The role will also be accountable in areas such as staffing, HRIS, compensation/benefits, employee relations, talent management, and organizational development, and training.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in human resources or industrial/Organizational Psychology and directly related experience, including at least two years of experience working with an HRIS; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 - 5 years progressive Human Resource experience including employee relations and HRIS
  • Strong generalist experience
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to perform statistical analysis
  • Previous HRIS experience, including applicant tracking systems.
  • Advanced experience in MS Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of recruiting, human resources, and organizational development practices and procedures
  • Ability to recruit and evaluate applicants using independent judgment and discretion.
  • Understand administrative procedures and systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude, high energy, enthusiastic and detail oriented
  • Travel: up to 20%

Responsibilities

  • Maintain employee-related databases and prepare/analyze reports.
  • Partner with local management to communicate HR policies, procedures, programs, and laws.
  • Conduct workplace investigations for employee complaints or concerns.
  • Advise managers and supervisors on the progressive discipline system and counsel on employment issues.
  • Assist with monitoring employee wages and promotions.
  • Process, verify, and maintain personnel-related documentation (background checks, new hire paperwork, E-Verify, status changes).
  • Administer benefits enrollment and handle leaves of absence requests.
  • Protect the interests of employees and the company in accordance with policies and laws.
  • Handle full cycle recruiting efforts, including job postings, ad placement, screening, interviewing, reference checks, extending offers, and negotiating counter offers.
  • Maintain employee hardcopy files and input personal data into HRIS.
  • Process various forms related to HR activities (new-hire, change-of-status, evaluations, benefits, terminations).
  • Handle employee inquiries on policies, benefits, payroll, and compensation.
  • Assist HR Manager in identifying, evaluating, and resolving employee relations, morale, performance, and productivity concerns.
  • Assist HR Manager in managing and implementing engagement committee events.
  • Complete documentation for employment verifications, medical support, and unemployment claims.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable employment laws, regulations, statutes, organizational procedures, and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
