About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR and Payroll-related duties on a professional level while supporting department managers and employees with great customer service. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: payroll and benefits administration, policy implementation, and employment law compliance. This is an on-site production plant HR position. Bilingual/ Spanish speaking preferred. MOBIS Corporate Center America will be aiding in the hiring progress for this job position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience required.
  • Must have strong Microsoft Excel capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP a plus
  • Experience with SAP highly desired.
  • Familiar with Paylocity also a plus
  • Proven abilities in process improvement also a plus
  • Bilingual/ Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a liaison between the facility and the corporate Human Resources department with regard to time reporting, personnel questions, complaints, issues, etc.
  • Administers company policies and procedures, and aids in ensuring compliance.
  • Maintains up-to-date personnel, medical, and termination files.
  • Performs the hiring and termination of employees and contract help.
  • Places personnel orders with temporary staffing agencies and interfaces with the agencies concerning their employees.
  • Examines time reports, and makes changes and/or corrections via the time & attendance system.
  • Processes changes of address, benefit changes, new hire paperwork, etc.
  • Maintains and updates the Guardian security system.
  • Activates new employees, modifies current access accounts, deactivates terminated employees, creates new access rules, etc.
  • Generates, compiles, and/or collects report data through time & attendance and payroll systems.
  • Answers employee human resources-related questions and assists in problem-solving.
  • Interfaces with supervisory employees for problem resolution and routine reporting functions.
  • Performs miscellaneous clerical functions for the Human Resources department, including memo writing and filing.
  • Responsible for timely, accurately, and compliantly processing payroll for hourly & salaried employees
  • Prepare Monthly Reports for Head Quarters in Seoul, South Korea
  • Process employee data for new hires, changes, additional earnings, etc.
  • Processes employee Time & Attendance data to payroll and reconcile variances.
  • Approve and release time in the time system.
  • Supporting expatriates tax filing in addition to running their monthly payroll cycle
  • Maintaining confidential information by adhering to legal and ethical standards
  • Working with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure benefits and payroll services are delivered.
  • Monitoring and analyzing expenses against the payroll budget to help prepare cost forecasts and budgets.
  • Ensuring databases are set up and reflect the current employee base, including salaries, hourly wages, benefits, and 401k percentages.
  • Maintains vacation and sick time records.
  • Creates variety of HR related reports on demand.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, FMLA, Short- & Long-Term disability, and Workers Compensation.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Must have proven multitasking and organizational skillset and be highly analytical.
  • Performs special assignments as delegated.
