About The Position

We’re looking for a Human Resources Generalist with a strong background in ERISA-governed benefits to join our team. We’re looking for someone who excels at explaining complex benefits in plain language, cares deeply about equity, and has a firm understanding of the relationship between total compensation and performance. The right candidate for this role will excel at coaching and supporting staff and managers, have a collaborative, people-first approach, and be able to serve as both an advocate for employees and the voice of the company. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, organizational development, human resources, economics, accounting, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 8+ years of Human Resources experience, including at least 4 years working with ERISA-governed benefits and retirement plans
  • Strong knowledge of qualified retirement plans and ERISA laws, with hands-on experience managing compliance testing and reporting processes such as Form 5500, ADP/ACP, and 409(p)
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor staff while collaborating across teams to develop strategies and creative solutions
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • HR certification required (SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR)

Nice To Haves

  • Retirement plan certifications such as CPSP, QKA, or QPA preferred

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Director of People and Culture, coordinating with Accounting leadership, and external advisors to advise and support leadership and staff, specializing in benefits governed by ERISA.
  • Develop communications strategies and provide support to staff regarding benefits.
  • Manage reporting and oversee compliance related to ERISA-governed benefits.
  • Lead audits, ensuring accurate reporting and strong documentation.
  • Serve as a trusted partner and leader in the firm for benefits-related needs.
  • Support staff by advising on policies and approaches that support the mission of the organization and the needs of the team.
  • Advise staff, create and co-lead trainings, and coach team members as a senior member of a People & Culture (HR) team.
