About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist provides administrative, operational, and compliance support across the employee lifecycle to ensure efficient and consistent Human Resources service delivery. This position is responsible for processing employee transactions, maintaining employee records, supporting onboarding activities, monitoring compliance requirements, and assisting with HR reporting and projects. The HR Generalist works closely with the Human Resources Compliance Analyst, HR leadership, HR Business Partners, and affiliate management to promote compliance, operational excellence, and an exceptional employee experience while supporting the Apis HR DSE Framework (Deliberate, Scalable, Efficient).

Requirements

  • Maintain and abide by OSHA requirements and guidelines.
  • Observe all Fire and Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Observe all Fiscal, Office, Human Resources, and Personnel Policies and Procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of Human Resources administrative or Human Resources Generalist experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or multi-state environments preferred.
  • ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.
  • Experience with personnel file management, onboarding, and employment compliance activities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Processes employee lifecycle transactions within ADP and other HR systems, including new hires, separations, transfers, promotions, pay changes, position changes, and status updates.
  • Maintains accurate and organized employee personnel files in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Completes employment verifications and employee record requests.
  • Supports I-9 administration and employment eligibility verification.
  • Coordinates employee badge requests and related onboarding activities.
  • Assists with onboarding scheduling, communication, and documentation.
  • Ensures all new hire documents are collected, verified, uploaded, and filed appropriately.
  • Maintains HR documentation, forms, checklists, and employee records in designated HRIS and SharePoint systems.
  • Documents time worked accurately.
  • Performs other administrative HR duties as assigned.
  • Assists with monthly personnel file audits and compliance reviews.
  • Reviews employee records to ensure compliance with organizational, licensing, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors employee compliance requirements, including background checks, professional licenses, training requirements, TB screenings, certifications, and employment clearances.
  • Communicates compliance deficiencies and upcoming expirations to HR Business Partners and affiliate leadership.
  • Assists in preparing compliance reports, dashboards, and tracking tools.
  • Supports audit preparation activities for CARF, COA, Medicaid, State licensing requirements, and Internal audits.
  • Ensures compliance documentation is accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
  • Maintains confidentiality of employee information and sensitive organizational data.
  • Provides administrative support to HR leadership, HR Business Partners, and affiliate management teams.
  • Escalates complex employee or compliance concerns to the HR Compliance Analyst or HR leadership as appropriate.
  • Assists with implementation of new HR processes, standard operating procedures, templates, and workflows.
  • Coordinates HR projects related to compliance initiatives, employee file remediation, data cleanup projects, onboarding campaigns, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Promotes consistency in HR practices across affiliates and operational regions.
  • Supports continuous improvement efforts designed to enhance HR effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Inputs, validates, audits, and updates employee data within ADP, SharePoint, and other HR systems.
  • Conducts quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of employee records.
  • Generates reports to support HR Operations, compliance monitoring, workforce tracking, onboarding activities, and management reporting.
  • Assists with workforce analytics, audit reporting, and data integrity initiatives.
  • Maintains accurate electronic and physical records.
  • Provides professional, timely, and customer-focused support to employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
  • Responds to routine HR inquiries and requests.
  • Assists with communication of HR programs, onboarding requirements, compliance reminders, and organizational announcements.
  • Maintains positive working relationships with affiliate teams and operational leadership.
  • Upholds organizational HR service standards and expectations.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and responsiveness in all interactions.
  • Adheres to and follows the By-Laws of the Corporation and as set forth in the Articles of Incorporation.
