About The Position

Johnson Controls/Silent-Aire is developing the next generation of smart and connected solutions to make buildings smarter, safer, more comfortable, more efficient, and more sustainable. The HR Generalist will be responsible for the local delivery and execution of core HR services to employees and managers in accordance with Johnson Controls principles, corporate policies and procedures, and plant operations. This role involves performing a variety of employment-related functions to enhance employee engagement, safety, health, and productivity, while ensuring compliance with Company policies in a manufacturing facility. This position is for an afternoon shift, from 1-9 pm Mountain time.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
3+ years of Human Resources experience.
At least 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or related environment.

Nice To Haves

CPHR certified or in process of pursuing CPHR.

Responsibilities

Develop effective working relationships with local management and employees to influence and coach them on effective employment practices.
Assist local management on various employment matters including Performance Management issues, employee inquiries or complaints, and the implementation of company-wide HR activities.
Conduct investigations and recommend actions to resolve policy violations, seeking counsel from HR Leader or Legal as necessary for risk management.
Stay current on employment laws and Company policies.
Maintain positive working relationships with employees and the management team.
Conduct hourly recruitment for open positions following established processes.
Provide training and support for various HR systems including HR Atlas, Workday, Sharepoint, Performance Management, and others.
Assist with Payroll and Benefits Administration.
Serve as the Empowered People champion for the plant.
Provide input for process/policy improvement.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
