This role involves consulting with assigned client groups, including frontline employees and people leaders, on a variety of HR issues such as recruiting, employee relations, benefits and compensation, learning & development, career development, succession planning, and performance management. The position requires participation in regular meetings with client groups to stay current with business units and provide HR support for upcoming initiatives. The Generalist will also provide updates, information, and advice on policy interpretation, stay current on provincial employment standards and human rights legislation, evaluate current policies, and conduct research on best practices. Data collection, report preparation, analysis, and management for the Human Resources Department are key responsibilities, along with assisting in the research, planning, and execution of HR initiatives and special projects.
