About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist partners with the Human Resources Manager, Director of Human Resources, and operational leaders to support strategic and day-to-day human resources initiatives that drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and operational excellence.

Requirements

Experience using HRIS and applicant tracking systems such as Workday, UKG/UltiPro, ABI, or similar platforms.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate issues appropriately.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
PHR, SHRM-CP, or comparable HR certification is preferred.
Three to five years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within hospitality, sports, entertainment, or another high-volume environment.
Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, including workers' compensation, workplace safety, EEOC, NLRB, and FLSA regulations.
Advanced computer skills, including experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
Comfortable presenting information to both small and large groups.
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across departments and organizational levels.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
Proven ability to influence, build credibility, and establish trust with employees and leaders at all levels.
Excellent verbal, written, and active listening communication skills.
Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service while demonstrating initiative, accountability, and professionalism.
Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organizational environment.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as business needs require, including baseball games, concerts, and special events.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint is preferred.
Project management experience is preferred.
Previous supervisory or people leadership experience is preferred but not required.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong partnerships with leaders to ensure HR strategies, policies, and best practices are effectively implemented.
Develop a strong understanding of venue operations to provide effective HR partnership and business support.
Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees (union and non-union) on employee relations matters, including performance management, progressive discipline, career development, workplace concerns, company policies, and employment and labor laws.
Proactively anticipate and resolve employee and labor relations issues, including conflict resolution.
Partner with the Director of Human Resources to conduct workplace investigations and prepare supporting documentation.
Support talent acquisition, succession planning, and employee development initiatives to strengthen organizational bench strength.
Participate in the development and continuous improvement of departmental goals, objectives, and processes.
Assist with full-cycle recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and staffing initiatives.
Support staffing efforts during both event and non-event days as needed.
Manage various safety-related responsibilities, including workers' compensation administration, OSHA log maintenance, and safety board updates.
Lead or support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
