About The Position

Nucor Insulated Panel Group is seeking a dynamic candidate for the Human Resources Generalist position located in Sheridan, AR. The HR role will be responsible for managing all human resources-related functions for the Sheridan manufacturing location. A fast-paced, self-starter with a positive attitude is paramount to success. This role is a true “generalist” role as the responsibilities range from benefit administration to termination processing. This role will allow you to help develop talent, work closely with our leadership team, and be a part of Nucor’s ongoing success.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience working with core HR information in a generalist capacity OR an Associate’s degree with 4 years of experience working with core HR information in a generalist capacity, is required.
Strong PC computer skills with everyday experience working with Microsoft products, especially Outlook and Excel.
Knowledge of HRIS programs is necessary.

Nice To Haves

An HR certification is strongly desired.
Knowledge in SAP/SuccessFactors is preferred.

Responsibilities

Location administrator for EAP, HRIS, timekeeping, and leave administration systems.
Responsible for the full recruitment process lifecycle (job postings, phone screening/interview setup, sending offer letters, etc.), on all open roles, including conducting the New Hire Orientation.
Set up, maintain, and administer job testing processes, including entry-level testing.
Have a strong understanding and working knowledge of Nucor personnel policies, sick leave, disability, FMLA, military, and other programs while administering them within federal/state laws. Leave administration includes workers’ compensation.
Responsible for helping to facilitate all Teammate training needs, especially Nucor Culture and Leadership training.
Responsible for all HR reporting requirements, such as EEO-1, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
Responsible for participating in the rollout of annual HR projects, such as: the annual merit review process and benefits open enrollment.
Responsible for the full separation process lifecycle (participating in the final disciplinary steps and handling any termination meetings, if needed, completing exit interviews for those leaving voluntarily, final benefit and COBRA administration, etc.).
Responsible for personnel, medical, I-9 and EEO file administration.
Other duties, special projects, and responsibilities, as assigned.
