Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or a generalist HR role
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems and Google Workspace
  • Solid understanding of I-9 compliance, payroll processes, and Arizona employment laws, including leave requirements, wage and hour regulations, and employee rights
  • Experience supporting employee relations matters, including intake and documentation
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, site-based environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience using Workday HRIS system

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for general employee inquiries, concerns, and HR needs, including but not limited to employment verifications, name changes, and documentation.
  • Facilitate weekly New Hire Orientation sessions and manage all first-day logistics, including IT coordination for system access and equipment setup.
  • Ensure new hire documentation is complete, accurate, and properly stored in compliance with company policy and applicable law.
  • Process employee terminations and manage the offboarding checklist, ensuring all time-sensitive actions are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Conduct exit interviews, identify trends, and surface insights and concerns to the People team.
  • Support investigations and corrective action processes in partnership with the PBP.
  • Assist with payroll administration by tracking and updating pay stipends, leaves of absence (LOA), time-off corrections, garnishment processing and off-cycle payroll changes.
  • Partner with the PBP and payroll team to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely, accurate processing.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including I-9 administration, leave law requirements, and accommodation processes.
  • Support HR audits, system clean-up projects, and data accuracy initiatives, ensuring accurate documentation, timely follow-ups, and adherence to People Operations policies and deadlines.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to People Business Partners across the network.
  • Contribute to People Team initiatives including process improvements, system projects, and employee experience programs.
