This role assists and supports management and the leadership team with handling and resolving Human Resources issues. The Human Resources Generalist will assist employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures, and monitor and assist managers/supervisors with hiring processes and issues. Key responsibilities include coordinating and conducting applicant drug screens, reference checks, background checks, motor vehicle checks, and social security number verification. The role also involves maintaining applicant flow, drug screen, orientation, and transfer request logs, as well as creating and maintaining new hire and personnel files in the Human Resources Information System. Additionally, the Generalist will assist with new employee orientation, monitor all hiring and recruitment processes for compliance with laws and company policies, and ensure accurate maintenance of employee records. The position supports payroll record processing and maintenance as necessary, informs Human Resources management of employee relations issues, and creates and maintains filing systems. The role also involves generating Human Resources data reports, answering phone calls, recording messages, and creating office correspondence. The Human Resources Generalist will serve as a subject matter expert, participate on project teams, and train new hires on HR processes, programs, policies, and information systems. The role requires adherence to all company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and professional appearance, and ensuring confidentiality of proprietary information. Effective communication, both verbal and written, and positive working relationships with colleagues are essential. The role involves some physical activity, including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Other reasonable job duties may be assigned by Supervisors.
