About The Position

Ensuring Chart’s Success… Cooler By Design” – Chart’s core business is centered around the design and fabrication of cryogenic equipment. The Ball Ground, Georgia site is seeking a hands-on individual to actively engage with our site employees to drive strategies, such as key employee retention and development, high performance and a safety-first mindset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or comparable field.
  • 5+ years of progressive human resources management experience, preferably with some HR in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing complex employee relations issues while demonstrating maturity, professionalism and exercising confidentiality.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Georgia labor law, EEO, and compensation analysis.
  • Experience working with large HRIS systems and Microsoft Office software.
  • Change management skills with ability to influence, drive or support organizational change.
  • Highly organized self-starter who is comfortable and capable of operating with a sense of urgency while managing competing initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage recruiting efforts for the location, including sourcing, screening, hiring, and onboarding/orientation.
  • Partner with leaders to evaluate workforce needs, create a strategy to build pipelines for key roles and collaborate with local community high schools and trade schools to meet future staffing needs.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to our supervisory teams on how to deliver difficult performance conversations, real time feedback, execute corrective actions and explore root cause to mitigate repeat issues.
  • Build your personal brand among our shop floor employees that reflects HR competence, trustworthiness and one of mutual respect for those you serve.
  • Handle employee relations complaints and concerns and conduct investigations using your knowledge of federal and state labor laws and risk-mitigation to produce a positive outcome for all parties.
  • Champion monthly recognition initiatives, such as providing event planning oversight, managing associated budget, and soliciting employee feedback to measure effectiveness of programs.
  • Maintain a pulse on the competitiveness of our hourly pay program to ensure the company can attract and retain top talent. This includes annual compensation analysis and review of our hourly job classifications in preparation of the annual merit cycle.
  • Interpret company policies and procedures to ensure consistent application across site; participate in internal/external audits, conduct annual ethics training.
  • Consult with other HR team members on non-routine inquiries to ensure alignment across US region.
