About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Generalist who will play a crucial role in fostering a safe and compliant workplace culture. You will provide daily guidance on employment issues, support HR programs, and ensure adherence to quality standards and policies. Your expertise will be instrumental in training, coaching, and guiding both employees and managers to enhance employee engagement and performance.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Representative.
  • Ability to provide guidance on sensitive or career-oriented employee decisions.
  • Proficient in managing multiple HR calendar activities while maintaining service quality.
  • Knowledgeable in HR information systems, including ADP and SAP.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate/Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources preferred.
  • SPHR certification is a plus.
  • Experience working with hierarchical organizations is preferred.
  • Experience in supporting Canadian employees and knowledge of Canadian employment law is a plus.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support safe workplace cultures and ensure compliance with EH&S requirements.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support on employment issues related to HR policies and practices.
  • Prepare and execute annual HR calendar programs such as benefits enrollment, performance management, and talent management.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Conduct training and coaching sessions to support HR initiatives, including employee engagement, health and wellness benefits, and career development.
  • Manage policy or compliance violations, including conducting investigations and ensuring closure.
  • Support talent acquisition by guiding, reviewing applications, and interviewing candidates.
  • Provide functional support for staffing requirements, onboarding, promotions, salary changes, and exit interviews.
  • Liaise with HR Shared Services to ensure efficient and accurate completion of transactional activities.
  • Encourage use of HR Shared Services systems for resolving queries.
  • Assist in planning and organizing communication events, team-building activities, and community events.
  • Maintain current Division/Group policies in accordance with local legislation.
