About The Position

Bridgeway Inc. is seeking an experienced and passionate Human Resources Generalist (Advance/Location Specific) to join our team and help shape the employee experience by ensuring employees and managers have the tools, guidance, and support they need to thrive while serving our community. The Human Resources Generalist provides comprehensive HR support for the Loves Park, IL location. This HR Generalist requires deep HR expertise due to its location and operational complexity. This role leads simple to complex HR functions including recruiting, benefits administration, employee relations, leave management, compliance, safety, and training while under the direction of Senior HR Professional. The position ensures that all HR practices align with organizational policies, legal requirements, and operational needs.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in human resources or related with 2 years or more of previous current HR experience. We may consider 3 years or more of recent HR experience in lieu of degree.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and meet Bridgeway's insurability requirements.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel 5 to 10% for meetings, training, and occasional visits to company locations.
  • Employment with Bridgeway is conditional upon completion of all background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead recruiting efforts for designated location(s), partnering closely with hiring managers to define job requirements and competencies.
  • Conduct advanced screening, interviews, and selection processes for complex or high impact roles.
  • Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Conducts preemployment information to include references, extend offers of employment.
  • Provides new hire orientation meetings and oversees employee engagement/recognition programs.
  • Provides education/employee training, leadership support, and executes HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave of absence, performance management, recognition, and morale initiatives.
  • Conduct and/or provide support for mandatory and non mandatory training, including safety, antiharassment, licensure, and professional development.
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations issues at the location.
  • Conduct and document employee investigations, disciplinary meetings, and terminations with minimal oversight.
  • Performs and oversees the offboarding process to include exit process, ensuring proper documentation, communication, and return of company assets.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal requirements and Bridgeway expectations.
