About The Position

This position provides operational Human Resources business partner/generalist support. This position currently supports DTNA’s Production Plant employees and custom truck service employees in Cleveland, NC. This includes aspects of providing employee development, coaching, investigations, HR process and policy expertise as well as exemplary customer focus and service. This position is responsible for supporting a diverse employee population with crucial services for the full employee life-cycle. This position is a hands-on role providing full cycle Human Resources support. It will require the ability to handle multiple priorities, engage with our business partners and lead change. You will be responsible for a variety of initiatives and be able to demonstrate an understanding of business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university/college required OR 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree required
  • Knowledge of labor law and regulations
  • Good Oral and Written Communication
  • Good Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to work any shift
  • An attached resume is required

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft office knowledge
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Human Resources certification, such as PHR or SPHR
  • Workday and Kronos Experience
  • Experience with employee relations in a production environment

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting, interviewing, and selection of employees to fill vacant positions, including on-boarding and processing hiring related paperwork.
  • Administer the Company’s HR policies and collective bargaining agreement.
  • Work to guarantee adherence to policies, as well as, adherence to processes and procedures.
  • Interpret and explain policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
  • Investigate and address employee relations issues, work complaints, compliance issues, or other employee concerns.
  • Document and monitor manpower moves including internal job postings, shift preference requests, displacements, layoffs, and recalls.
  • Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities.
  • Work with Union colleagues to address issues and maintain positive relationships.
  • Promote and support Corporate goals aimed at increasing productivity and profitability, improving reducing absenteeism, improving morale, etc...
  • Monitor and update changes as necessary to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Ensure necessary paperwork is complete for layoffs, recalls, and terminations.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
