Texas A&M University–Central Texas is recruiting for a Human Resources Generalist. This position may be filled at either the Human Resources Generalist I or Human Resources Generalist II level, based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. The Human Resources Generalist I, under general supervision, provides moderately complex Human Resources support. The Human Resources Generalist II, under general supervision, provides routine and moderately complex human resources functions, such as creates, posts, and processes actions in the HRIS System or related systems, while assisting supervisors and employees with HR-related questions. A Presidential Proclamation issued on September 19, 2025, imposes a $100,000 fee on all new H‑1B petitions filed after September 21, 2025, and Texas A&M University–Central Texas will not pay this fee. Additionally, a moratorium issued by Governor Abbott on January 27, 2026, restricts the filing of new H‑1B petitions unless approved by the Texas Workforce Commission.
