About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist/Executive Assistant is responsible for overseeing essential functions that drive employee satisfaction, productivity, and organizational success. The role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including recruitment and talent acquisition, training and development, performance management, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance. This role also provides executive support, managing calendars, drafting correspondence, and handling sensitive information with discretion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Human Resources role.
  • Ability to multi-task, anticipate needs, and solve problems independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience or familiarity with healthcare/EMS field.
  • Familiarity with Paylocity.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools to streamline work.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the talent acquisition process which includes screening job applicants and arranging interviews.
  • Manage the onboarding process, schedule all pre-hire appointments, and coordinate orientation.
  • Manage payroll including payroll documentation and timecard validation.
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings and terminations.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations, communicate findings and make recommendations.
  • Manage employee benefits program, including health, dental, vision, and supplementals.
  • Submit and track workers’ compensation claims and FMLA requests.
  • Manage performance evaluations.
  • Assist in developing and updating policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
  • Ensure agency maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Analyze HR metrics including recruitment/retention, workplace injury, and disciplinary action trends.
  • Perform employee exit interviews and report any trends to management.
  • Implement organization’s compensation strategy, including tracking annual raises and/or merit increases.
  • Maintain employee records and files.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and/or needed based on organizational needs.
  • Manage Director’s calendars, schedule meetings, appointments, and events, coordinating with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Draft correspondence, create meeting minutes and organize presentations.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion.
