About The Position

The HR Generalist - Data & Compliance provides essential support to both the Divisional HR and Total Rewards functions by focusing on HR data integrity, compliance reporting, system processing, and auditing. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate HR records, accurate data for timely compliance submissions (including OSHA and AAP), and efficient HR operations. The position reports directly to the Sr. Divisional HR Generalist with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Divisional Total Rewards Analyst.

Requirements

  • Two-year degree from an accredited technical or vocational school, and two years' experience working in the human resource field, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Knowledge of general secretarial practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of standard record keeping practices and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain the confidential nature of personnel related information.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain personnel records in an accurate, complete, and timely manner.
  • Ability to assist in enforcing personnel policies and procedures in a tactful and courteous manner.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a processor for employee lifecycle events within the HR Information System (HRIS), including hires, terminations, and employee changes.
  • Maintain the highest level of HRIS data integrity through regular audits and proactive data clean-up to ensure accurate reporting and system reliability.
  • Generate, analyze, and distribute standard and ad-hoc HR reports, with a significant focus on data required for compliance reporting.
  • Act as the primary resource for gathering and compiling data for various compliance submissions, including Affirmative Action Plans (AAP), OSHA recordkeeping and reporting, and other governmental or internal audits.
  • Support all phases of compliance requirements, including data preparation, internal audits, and document retention.
  • Process and reconcile monthly and other benefit-related data for billing and invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support the Total Rewards function by auditing and updating compensation-related items, including maintaining the current library of job descriptions.
  • Support routine HR investigations and related follow-up documentation as needed.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource to answer HR-related questions from HR field representatives and liaisons, providing guidance on processes, procedures, and system usage.
  • Manage and update HR information and resources across various internal communication platforms, including the intranet, TEAMS channel, and SharePoint.
  • Utilize various mediums (email, TEAMS, SharePoint) to effectively communicate HR data, updates, and compliance reminders across the division.
  • Serve as a crucial back-up to the HR Coordinator role, stepping in to perform their functions as needed to maintain continuity of operations.
