About The Position

Is responsible for managing the Human Resources Department and overseeing all personnel issues. This position will be located in Sheboygan or Germantown. The employer for this position is The Pennant Group, Inc., a holding company of independent operating subsidiaries that provide healthcare services through home health and hospice agencies and senior living communities located throughout the US. Each of these businesses is operated by a separate, independent operating subsidiary that has its own management, employees and assets.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of computer systems
  • Licensed driver with automobile that is in good working order and insured
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills
  • Detail orientated and able to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Managing the Human Resources Department and overseeing all personnel issues.
  • Recruitment and selection of employees based on applicant’s credentials and qualifications, including training and licensure.
  • Conducting personal interviews on all applicants at the time of recruitment and selection.
  • Obtaining two written or verbal follow-up of employment references and job history.
  • Verifying education, experience, training, licensure or certification, as appropriate to job responsibilities.
  • Selecting and employing qualified individuals without regard to gender, race, age, creed, handicap, sexual orientation, or national origin.
  • Coordinating an orientation program for all new employees, including an introduction to the organization, staff and employee rules and responsibilities.
  • Ensuring that all employees receive ongoing education, including inservices, training and other activities to maintain and improve staff competence.
  • Ensuring that all employees meet their required mandatory training, keeps records of inservices and files employee's certificate of attendance in the employee personnel folder.
  • Ensuring that all employees are meeting the performance expectations stated in his/her job descriptions by collaborating with the supervisors.
  • Ensuring that all employees are in compliance with the mandatory requirements for employment.
  • Participating in personnel policies revisions, when requested.
