The Human Resources Director provides strategic HR guidance and consultation to leadership and department heads regarding employee relations, workforce needs, employment practices, policies, and organizational matters. This role proactively identifies and addresses employee relations concerns, complaints, grievances, and workplace issues, offering appropriate guidance and recommendations for resolution. The Director advises leadership on the interpretation and application of HR policies, employment practices, and applicable requirements. They develop and recommend HR policy revisions and organizational practices to support operational effectiveness, compliance, and employee engagement. The position provides strategic oversight of talent acquisition, compensation, performance management, employee development, and retention initiatives. Responsibilities include monitoring HR trends, workforce data, and organizational needs, providing recommendations to leadership, and supporting compliance with Territorial, National Headquarters, and applicable employment requirements. The Director serves as the HR representative in employment-related proceedings, investigations, and other matters as appropriate, and partners with Territorial HR/THQ and other internal and external partners on HR initiatives, compliance, benefits, and organizational priorities. A key aspect of this role is promoting employee engagement, recognition, professional development, and a positive organizational culture.
