About The Position

Recovery Resource Council is looking for a Human Resources Director who provides leadership and oversight for all human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, training, safety, facilities, IT and front office operations. This position serves as a strategic partner to leadership, helping foster a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with organizational, regulatory, and accreditation standards.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, employee relations, and benefits administration.
Understanding of HIPAA, Joint Commission, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Leadership experience with a solid knowledge of payroll/HRIS, employee benefits, employment law, and strong interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, speak, and hear for extended periods.
Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, nonprofit, or other regulated environments preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and policy administration.
Advise leadership on workforce planning, staffing, employee engagement, and organizational development.
Manage employee investigations, disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and exit processes.
Maintain HR policies, employee records, job descriptions, and performance evaluation processes.
Oversee full-cycle recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts.
Coordinate employee orientation, training, and professional development programs.
Monitor compliance with required training and maintain accurate training records.
Ensure compliance with employment laws, HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, and organizational policies.
Administer employee benefits programs, open enrollment, and employee leave processes.
Review benefit costs, vendor performance, and related contracts.
Serve as Safety Coordinator and member of the Quality Management Performance Improvement Committee.
Coordinate workplace safety initiatives, incident reporting, and corrective action planning.
Supervise front office operations to ensure professional customer service and administrative efficiency.
Oversee facilities, maintenance, security, vendor relationships, and emergency preparedness efforts.
