About The Position

This is a Human Resources internship experience that is an 10.5-week full-time opportunity. The internship focuses on providing interns with challenging opportunities to learn and grow professionally within a culture of continuous improvement aimed at changing health care for the better. Interns will participate in projects that contribute to business success, community service activities, professional development workshops, mentorship and networking opportunities, and interaction with senior leaders. The internship is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in the Hartford, CT office and 2 days per week working remotely. Relocation stipends may be provided to qualifying interns. Successful interns are strongly positioned for consideration for future full-time opportunities with CVS Health, including the Human Resources Leadership Development Program. Sponsorship for work visas, CPT, OPT, and F-1 programs is not available for this role. The Human Resources department at CVS Health is committed to building a healthier world by providing colleagues with tools and resources for their career journey and better physical and financial health. HR supports the enterprise through various functions including Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Learning & Development, Labor & Colleague Relations, Community Impact, Benefits & Compensation, HR Operations & Solution Delivery, and HR Consulting Services. Interns will gain exposure to these areas and contribute through hands-on projects.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Anticipated graduation date between September 2027 and July 2028.
  • Major, minor, or concentration relevant to the position such as Human Resources; Business Administration/Management; Marketing; Communications; Sociology; Political Science & Psychology.
  • Willingness to work out of the Hartford, CT office.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience (e.g., active roles in student or social organization activities, sports, or school or work-related projects).

Nice To Haves

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Internship or work experience in a related field (e.g., recruiting, interviewing, benefits, training, or strategic planning).
  • Demonstrated comfort with technology and emerging tools, including an interest in how AI and digital solutions can enhance HR practices and the future of work.
  • Project management experience (e.g., leading a school or work-related project from start to finish).
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration experience.
  • An interest in obtaining a full-time position within CVS Health upon graduation.
