About The Position

This is a part-time Human Resources Coordinator position focused on supporting warehouse personnel and surge staff. The role involves recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, policy communication, and employee engagement activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment. This position requires the ability to pass pre-employment screenings and hold a valid driver's license for occasional travel.

Requirements

  • Experience of using a Human Resources IT System (HRIS) (onboarding, running reports).
  • Must be able to successfully pass all preliminary employment requirements (i.e., background check and drug screen).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Progressing towards a college degree preferred.
  • Understanding of people sourcing and best hiring/interviewing practices is a plus.
  • Experience utilizing web-based telecommunications and social media technology.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit part-time Warehouse Personnel and Surge by attending career fairs and events.
  • Conduct onsite interviews for part-time Warehouse Personnel and Surge.
  • Ensure thorough knowledge and understanding of Company policies and procedures.
  • Understand background check and drug screening policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a resource for warehouse personnel.
  • Coordinate New Employee Orientation for part-time personnel, including new hire and benefits enrollment.
  • Manage annual benefits open enrollment process for a specific site.
  • Understand the payroll cycle.
  • Create and maintain personnel files for all Warehouse Personnel and Surge.
  • Maintain state and federal employment postings in the facility’s break room.
  • Facilitate employee status change process for warehouse personnel.
  • Process employee separation forms for warehouse personnel.
  • Educate warehouse personnel about Company policies, including eligibility for and accrual of benefits.
  • Coordinate monthly Surge scheduling, communication, and quarterly drills.
  • Participate in the Morale Committee and employee social functions.
  • Arrange monthly birthday/anniversary celebrations and create cards.
  • Maintain and inform the Corporate Human Resources Manager of all communication with federal and state agencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
