About The Position

The Human Resources Coordinator provides day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This position assists with recruiting, onboarding, employee records, HR systems, benefits administration, training coordination, employee engagement, compliance, and general HR operations. The Human Resources Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for employees and applicants while ensuring HR processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems; ADP Workforce Now preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, EEOC, and related compliance requirements.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, use sound judgment, recognize issues requiring escalation, and follow through consistently.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting, HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, onboarding processes, and HR compliance preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recruiting activities, including but not limited to job postings, application review, candidate communication, phone screens, interview scheduling, and hiring manager coordination.
  • Prepare offer letters and coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screenings, physicals, and new hire documentation.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) records and recruiting documentation.
  • Assist with job fairs, community recruiting events, school partnerships, and employee referral programs and other talent pipeline initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HRIS records.
  • Process employee transactions, including new hires, promotions, transfers, status changes, and separations.
  • Serve as a resource for employee questions related to HR policies, benefits, payroll, HR systems, and general procedures; escalate complex or sensitive matters as appropriate.
  • Support benefits administration, including enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and open enrollment activities.
  • Coordinate training sessions, employee development programs, and required compliance training.
  • Promote company culture by assisting with employee recognition programs, engagement initiatives, and company events.
  • Maintain HR reports, recruiting metrics, and onboarding data for HR leadership.
  • Assist with audits by preparing personnel files and employment documentation.
  • Maintain working knowledge and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and requirements, including FMLA, ADA, EEOC, FLSA, and related federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employees and company information.
  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department and perform other duties as assigned.
