About The Position

Sigma Technologies is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator, also commonly referred to as an HR Coordinator, to support onboarding, offboarding, employee communications, HR documentation, compliance tracking, reporting, and employee engagement initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, professional, and excited to grow within Human Resources. This is a primarily on-site position that provides direct support to employees, new hires, leaders, and the HR team. As the Human Resources Coordinator, you will play an important role in supporting the employee experience from onboarding through offboarding. You will help ensure new hires have a smooth first-day experience, HR records are accurate, communication is handled professionally, and key HR processes are completed on time. This position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, organization, follow-through, and the ability to work collaboratively with employees, leaders, and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Typically requires 1–2 years of related experience in an entry-level HR role.
  • Experience with an HRIS preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality regarding company and employee information.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Professional demeanor with positive communication, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook , and related office tools.
  • Availability during core work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Ability to work primarily on-site to provide in-person employee and team support.
  • Dependable transportation with a valid driver’s license and insurance.
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and driving record check.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to endure frequent, lengthy periods of sedentary work and sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must have the physical ability to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing notes, and viewing a computer terminal. These activities require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must have the physical ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word and convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, often in a group setting.
  • Must have the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make discriminations in sound.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate a smooth and efficient new hire onboarding process, ensuring tasks are completed and resources are in place for a positive first-day experience.
  • Assign workspaces and coordinate onboarding logistics, including travel accommodation arrangements for new hires when needed.
  • Complete employee setup verification after onboarding to ensure information is accurate and aligned with the associate’s offer letter.
  • Coordinate 30/60-day new hire feedback surveys, including scheduling meetings with appropriate leaders and HR team members.
  • Facilitate the offboarding process, including launching exit tasks, sending notifications, and scheduling exit interviews.
  • Support administration and recordkeeping for client compliance requirements, including background checks and drug screens as needed.
  • Complete job information setup in the HRIS to support accurate time and expense imports.
  • Conduct daily reviews of HR communications, including email, voicemail, and calendar activity, and respond or escalate as required.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, including administration of recognition programs and coordination of rewards.
  • Assist with gathering HR analytics and reporting on key metrics such as onboarding, terminations, retention, and turnover trends.
  • Assist in updating internal HR documentation, including job descriptions and process guides.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
