Position Summary The HR Coordinator provides day-to-day support across onboarding, offboarding, recruiting, leave administration, HRIS, compliance, payroll, and employee communications. Based at the front desk of the Tysons Corner office Monday through Thursday, this role also serves as the primary onsite point of contact for employees, candidates, visitors, and vendors while supporting meetings, catering, supplies, and general office needs.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 1 – 3 years of HR, HR operations, or HR coordination experience.
  • Experience with onboarding, HRIS transactions, employee records, recruiting, benefits, or other HR processes.
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Experience using an HRIS; Paycom experience preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and take initiative.
  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Thursday; Friday is remote.

Nice To Haves

  • Government contracting experience preferred.
  • Payroll support or payroll auditing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to routine employee HR questions and direct more complex matters to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding activities, including communications, documentation, and system updates.
  • Support recruiting activities, including interview scheduling, candidate communications, and select candidate screenings.
  • Assist with leave administration, including preparing communications, maintaining documentation, tracking deadlines, and updating HR systems.
  • Participate in payroll administration, including auditing HR-related deductions, employee changes, and other payroll-impacting transactions to help ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in the HRIS.
  • Coordinate performance management cycles, employee surveys, compliance training, and other talent initiatives.
  • Track visa and work authorization requirements and maintain related documentation, as needed.
  • Assist with benefits activities, including open enrollment, employee communications, reconciliations, and coordination with the benefits broker, as needed.
  • Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and employee communications.
  • Develop and maintain HR procedures, templates, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform other HR-related duties and projects as assigned.
  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for employees, candidates, visitors, vendors, and deliveries.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, catering, and onsite employee events.
  • Monitor and maintain office, kitchen, and supply inventory, including snacks and beverages.
  • Help ensure conference rooms, reception, and common areas are organized and ready for employees and visitors.
  • Provide administrative support to executives and the HR team, including expense and meeting support, as needed.
  • Coordinate with the Windsor Mill office on shared office needs and activities.
