About The Position

We’re looking for an onsite Human Resources Consultant to join our client-facing consulting team in Jacksonville, North Carolina. This role offers hands-on experience working directly with clients while building expertise across HR, safety, and risk management. You’ll work alongside experienced consultants, gaining exposure to real client challenges and developing the skills to become a trusted advisor over time. From compliance research to system implementation and client training, no two days look the same.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Risk Management, or a related field preferred
  • 1+ year of experience in insurance, HR, safety, or compliance
  • North Carolina Property & Casualty license, or ability to obtain
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional, client-facing presence
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay on top of deadlines
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Teams to meet with clients, deliver training, and troubleshoot issues

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Employee Navigator or similar benefits administration platforms strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with HR and safety program audits, policy development, and implementation of best practices
  • Support the setup and deployment of HR and benefits technology solutions, including client onboarding
  • Help clients track incidents, training completion, and corrective actions to ensure accurate documentation and compliance
  • Deliver virtual client training through Microsoft Teams, including system demos, troubleshooting, and user support
  • Research employment law, OSHA requirements, and industry safety standards, translating complex information into practical guidance
  • Prepare client reports, presentations, and communications
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated, high-quality solutions
  • Track client requests and maintain organized documentation to ensure timely follow-up and excellent service
