About The Position

As a co-op student, you will not be doing side work. You will work with the HR Talent Acquisition Team supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee experience, and workforce programs across multiple communities, and will contribute to real projects that impact employees, residents, and operations across the organization. You will see how HR operates at scale — across multiple sites, union environments, and complex workforce programs.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program
  • Interest in HR, people operations, or organizational development
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and structure
  • Comfortable working with details and structured tasks
  • Able to manage deadlines and handle multiple priorities
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Clear communication and willingness to ask questions
  • Able to work independently and collaborate with a team
  • Takes initiative and follows through on assigned work
  • Enrolled in a Co-op or Work-Integrated Learning (WIL)
  • Currently attending a post-secondary institution
  • Open to domestic students (Canadian Citizen/Permanent Residents) only.

Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment processes (postings, screening, coordination)
  • Assist with onboarding and employee lifecycle processes
  • Maintain and audit employee data and records
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries
  • Support HR programs (engagement initiatives, audits)
  • Contribute to process improvements and internal projects
