About The Position

As a Senior Professional, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) at Gainwell, this role provides day-to-day HR support to managers and employees while partnering with business leaders to implement HR programs and initiatives. The HRBI supports employee relations, policy interpretation, and core talent processes, while building capability in consultative and strategic HR partnership. We are seeking someone that lives in the US Central Time Zone. This role is designed for an HR professional with foundational HR experience who is ready to grow into a more advanced HR Business Partner position. The Senior Professional HRBP operates with guidance from senior HRBPs or HR leadership while independently managing standard HR inquiries and transactions in support of Gainwell’s mission to improve healthcare outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; four (4) years of relevant specialty HR experience may substitute for the degree requirement (does not replace experience requirements below).
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of progressive Human Resources experience, including exposure to generalist or HR Business Partner (HRBP) support.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, performance management, and core HR processes within a multistate or regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, U.S. employment laws, and HR systems/analytics, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; professional certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with a customer-service mindset, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while building collaborative relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a first point of contact for managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, programs, and general HR guidance.
  • Support employee relations matters by assisting with employee concerns, issue resolution, performance documentation, and engagement initiatives, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Provide guidance to managers on foundational performance management practices, including goal setting, feedback conversations, and development planning.
  • Support talent-related processes such as recruiting coordination, onboarding, internal transfers, and workforce planning activities.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain HR documentation, records, and case notes in accordance with company and confidentiality standards.
  • Compile and analyze HR reports, dashboards, and metrics to support decision-making and identify workforce trends.
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to support deployment of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
  • Maintain current knowledge of HR best practices, employment law updates, and organizational policies.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
