About The Position

Under the direction of the Division Vice President of Operations, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as a key HR resource and business partner for 7 Brew's rapidly growing operations. This position will partner closely with operations leaders and stand teams on staffing, employee relations, compliance, training and development, operational standards, and New Store Openings (NSO). The HRBP will spend significant time in the field, building relationships with leaders and team members and providing practical, business-focused HR support. This is a highly hands-on role in a growing organization. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where processes and teams are continuing to evolve. The ability to balance compliance and company standards with sound business judgment and practical solutions is essential. The role will initially support markets in California and Nevada, with significant travel throughout the assigned markets and to support new stand openings. Salary range for this position is $75k - $90k, depending on experience, plus 10% profit share and additional performance-based incentives.

  • Must live within reasonable proximity to at least one of the new 7 Brew stands within the assigned market being supported
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including weekend, holiday, and/or evening, as required
  • ability to accommodate the likelihood of a variable work schedule from week to week
  • travel within assigned area and throughout the organization as requested
  • driving on company business (requires valid driver’s license and auto insurance coverage meeting or exceeding state requirements for property damage and bodily injury).

Nice To Haves

  • May require a bachelor's degree in HR, or a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a Human Resources department with various generalist duties and responsibilities.
  • CalSHRM certification a plus.
  • HRIS software experience preferred.
  • SAP and Workday knowledge a plus.
  • Experience supporting employees in a multi-unit environment, or operations management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with operations leaders to maintain appropriate management staffing levels.
  • Supports management recruiting efforts through job boards, referrals, networking, and other sourcing strategies.
  • Conducts initial interviews and helps manage the interview and selection process for management candidates.
  • Partners with operations leaders to identify and select strong leadership talent.
  • Supports background checks and other pre-employment processes.
  • Coordinates onboarding and orientation for management hires.
  • Partners with operations leadership to monitor the progress and development of newly hired managers.
  • Supports staffing strategies for New Store Openings and helps ensure new stands are appropriately staffed and prepared for opening.
  • Assists with hourly recruitment at the stand level as needed.
  • Serves as an HR resource and business partner to operations leaders and stand teams.
  • Responds to employee relations issues and provides practical guidance to leaders.
  • Coaches managers through performance management, corrective action, documentation, and termination decisions.
  • Assists with investigations by collecting statements, reviewing available information, and evaluating relevant facts.
  • Partners with leadership to resolve employee relations matters consistently and appropriately.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Conducts HR audits and reviews to identify compliance and operational opportunities.
  • Supports unemployment claims, agency inquiries, and other employment-related matters.
  • Collects and maintains documentation related to employee relations and compliance matters.
  • Identifies trends and opportunities that can improve employee engagement, retention, and operational effectiveness.
  • Helps establish and maintain scalable HR practices as the 7 Brew organization grows.
  • Partners with operations leadership to ensure company standards are understood and consistently executed.
  • Partners with operations leadership to develop and deliver HR and leadership training.
  • Coaches managers on interviewing, hiring, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and other HR practices.
  • Supports management development and succession planning.
  • Helps identify high-potential employees and develop future leaders.
  • Supports training and development initiatives associated with New Store Openings.
  • Ensures required training is completed according to applicable state and local requirements.
  • Partners with the NSO team and operations leadership throughout the New Store Opening process.
  • Supports staffing and hiring plans for new stands.
  • Helps prepare newly hired teams and managers for opening.
  • Provides HR support during opening periods and helps identify and resolve people-related challenges.
  • Partners with operations to ensure new stand teams understand and execute company expectations and HR practices.
  • Travels extensively to support new stand openings and other business needs.
  • Builds strong relationships with operations leaders and stand teams through regular field visits.
  • Attends operations meetings, leadership meetings, and other business meetings as needed.
  • Partners with leaders to improve employee engagement, retention, staffing, and performance.
  • Supports the development of consistent HR practices across the growing 7 Brew organization.
  • Provides practical HR guidance that supports the business while maintaining appropriate compliance and standards.
  • Helps identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and strengthen the 7 Brew culture.
  • Partners with the Division Vice President of Operations and other operational leaders on people-related business priorities.
