About The Position

Responsibilities will include providing support in areas related to organizational development, change management, recruitment, talent management, employee engagement, compensation and classification, diversity and inclusion, compliance, and benefits in accordance with state and federal law, labor contracts, Human Resources department rules, goals, and objectives; and perform related duties as assigned. Flexible Workplace: This position is identified under the designation of ‘flex work eligible’, meaning that the employee can formally opt to be in-office full-time or work a flex schedule in which at least two-days per week are performed in office and other days can be performed in a remote-first environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public/Business Administration, Organizational Development or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in multiple HR disciplines (employee relations, labor relations, recruitment, compensation, performance management, organizational development).
  • Equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • None.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the business leaders to understand their business needs to develop and deliver HR strategies that align with their goals and objectives.
  • Provide advice and recommendations on personnel related issues.
  • Assist with organizational change efforts by recommending development strategies, including quality improvement, performance enhancement and problem solving.
  • Demonstrate continuous effort at agency/organizational level to improve business operations, decrease turnover, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to influence quality customer service.
  • Meet regularly with department and division leaders to assess operational needs, discuss strategic initiatives and refer to appropriate internal support contacts.
  • Conduct assessments, such as gap analysis, and assist in strategic planning for the department organizational development.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and business leaders to identify staffing needs, recruit top talent, develop succession plans and assist with reviews and provide information.
  • Collaborate with all human resource teams for training that addresses skill gaps and promotes professional growth and contributes to employee retention.
  • Address workplace disputes by resolving conflict and facilitating open communication among stakeholders.
  • Participate in grievance and arbitration processes in collaboration with Labor Relations.
  • Provide guidance to leaders on performance management, disciplinary actions, and complex employee relations matters.
  • Lead and participate on managerial teams for special projects and initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to leaders and employees on HR best practices, policies, and procedures.
